Now it's looking like Phil Jackson is going to be offered the head coaching position for the Lakers. Also it's possible that the Lakers are going to trade Glen Rice for Scottie Pippen.

The latest rumor is that Kurt Rambis is going to remain the Laker's head coach for next year. Other than that the team is going to be mostly the same guys, so they should be good next year.

The Lakers are now gone... they lost by 11 Sunday. Kobe played decent, and scored 16, but in the fourth quarter Shaq, Kobe, and Glen Rice didnt really do anything. Anyways, this will be the last update until the season starts next year, unless anything new about Kobe comes up during the summer.

Once again the Lakers lost, this time by 11 (103 - 91). Kobe scored 20 points, but the Lakers couldnt stop Tim Duncan, and he scored 37. The next game of the series is tomorrow at 5:30 (pacific) on NBC, and hopefully that wont be the last game of the series.

The Lakers lost to the Spurs again, this time by 3 points after Sean Elliot hit two free throws. Kobe scored 28, and played really well until the last minute, when he missed two big free throws that would have put them up by three. After that Tim Duncan scored in the key, Avery Johnson stole the Laker's inbound pass, and Sean Elliot was fouled and made both free throws.

The Lakers lost to the Spurs by 6 tonight. Kobe scored 21, and also had 6 assists, but it wasnt enough. The next game is on Wednesday, and will be on TNT.

The Lakers beat the Rockets on Saturday, and Kobe played really well. 24 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. In the second round they're going to play the Spurs, and that will start on Monday, and will be televised on TBS.

The Lakers lost by 14 to the Rockets, and Kobe only scored 13 points. This means there's going to be game 4, which will be at Houston on Saturday. That game will be on NBC.

The Lakers beat the Rockets by 12 tonight, to go up 2-0 in the series. Kobe scored 19 points. The next game is at Houston, on Thursday, and it'll be on TNT also.

The Lakers beat the Rockets by one in a game that came down to a final shot by the Rockets, which Shaquille O'Neal blocked. Kobe scored 17, and also had a great defensive play at the end of the fourth quarter, and sunk two crucial free throws near the end of the game.

The Lakers are playing the Rockets in the first round of the playoffs. The Lakers beat the Rockets 2 out of 3 games this season, and they match up fairly well vs Houston, so they should win. Also the site isnt loading up correctly in Netscape, and there's some other screwed up stuff too, which I'll fix tomorrow.
